Draft text. This document is a working draft for the demo installation. It must be completed and reviewed by a qualified lawyer before the service goes live.

These terms are a contract between you and Centhead (“Centhead”, “we”). By creating an account or using the service you accept them.

1. The service

Centhead lets you earn a share of the revenue advertisers and partner networks pay for verified ad views, offers and surveys. It also provides a widget that other apps embed to show the same ads to their users, and, in the desktop app, an optional compute-sharing feature.

2. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 years old, able to enter a binding contract, and resident outside a jurisdiction subject to comprehensive sanctions. You may hold one account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity on your account; we strongly recommend turning on two-step verification.

3. How earnings are calculated

For every verified event, the network confirms a payout. Centhead keeps a flat 1% of it. If the event happened inside an app that embeds Centhead, that app’s owner keeps the percentage of the payout (0% to 99%) they chose, which is shown to you in the widget before and after every ad. You receive the rest. Amounts are tracked in micro-dollars (USD 0.000001); platform and app shares are rounded down in your favour.

4. What counts as a view

A view counts only if the ad plays in full, the page stays visible and you pass the presence check. Views that fail these checks earn nothing. We do not guarantee any amount of ads or earnings, and ads, rates and availability vary by country and over time.

5. Hold period and reversals

Earnings from ad views are held for 45 seconds and earnings from offers and surveys for 60 seconds before they become available. If a network or payment provider reverses a payout (for example for invalid traffic or a chargeback) we reverse the corresponding earnings, including any referral reward and app share. If you have already withdrawn them, your balance may become negative and future earnings will offset it.

6. Withdrawals

You may withdraw your available balance once it reaches $1.00, you have verified your email address, completed identity verification with our payment partner, and added a payout method. Withdrawals above $50.00 are reviewed by a person. We may delay or refuse withdrawals where the law requires or where we reasonably suspect fraud. Payouts are made through Stripe and are subject to Stripe’s terms. Centhead charges no withdrawal fee; Stripe or your bank may.

7. Referrals

If you invite someone and they become an active member, you may receive a reward calculated as a share of Centhead’s own fee on their verified earnings, for a limited period, as described on the Fees page. Rewards never reduce any member’s or app’s earnings, are limited to one level, and are reversed together with the payout they came from. Self-referral and abuse of the programme are prohibited.

8. Compute sharing (desktop app)

The optional compute feature runs third-party open-source software on your computer only after you start it. You choose the mining pool from a built-in list and the wallet that receives proceeds; Centhead does not hold or control them. Centhead’s share is the percentage of mining time disclosed in the app. Mining uses electricity and may not be profitable. You are responsible for your hardware and for any tax on proceeds.

9. Taxes and reporting

You are responsible for taxes on your earnings. We and our payment partner may collect tax information and report payments to tax authorities where the law requires (for example under DAC7 in the EU or US information reporting).

10. Conduct

You must follow the Fair Use policy. Fraud, automation, multiple accounts and manipulation of views result in forfeiture of affected earnings, suspension and, where appropriate, reports to authorities.

11. Your data

See the Privacy Policy. You can export or delete your data in Settings.

12. Changes, suspension and termination

We may update these terms and will give reasonable notice of material changes; if you disagree you may close your account. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms. You may delete your account at any time after withdrawing your balance.

13. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights. Subject to that, the service is provided “as is”, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you earned through Centhead in the 12 months before the claim.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the country where Centhead is established. If you are a consumer you keep the mandatory protections of the country where you live.
